Wilderswil bypass (CH)

The Wilderswil bypass was a major project with almost 700 piles. The challenge here was that in this section with reinforced tangential pile walls, the distance between the individual concrete piles and pile reinforcements was very narrow, but not a problem for Brextor®.

The extensive road construction project in Wilderswil has been completed. The centerpiece is the 2-kilometer bypass, which has been relieving the village of through traffic since August 2023. This is linked to a direct connection to the Flugplatz commercial zone and a flood relief tunnel. After years of traffic chaos in the narrow streets, the village now benefits from a traffic-relieved center and improved connections to commercial areas and vacation regions in the Lütschinen valleys. The overall project, consisting of the bypass, the industrial estate connection and the spillway, was completed at a cost of around 91.8 million Swiss francs.
